Welcome to the Bridge Niagara Foundation, under the leadership of Chairperson Anas Mangla and Vice Chair Nasreen Akhtar. Our mission is to uplift the Niagara region through targeted educational programs, cultural enrichment, and empowerment initiatives for our youth, veterans, and the community at large. Nasreen Akhtar

Vice Chairperson

She brings her organizational prowess and sharp intellect from her role at Ibero Business Solution. Dedicated to empowering the business community, her skills are vital in ensuring our foundation's operations are meticulously coordinated and aligned with our strategic goals.

Ann Enger

Secretary

Leveraging his U.S. Air Force discipline, IRS and non-profit experience, and financial expertise, he ensures our foundation’s integrity and efficiency in financial management, embodying commitment and transparency.

Mohammad Ali

The Treasurer

His invaluable insights from his experience in New York State corrections, complemented by his kind-hearted, helpful nature, and intelligence. His unique perspective enriches our foundation's initiatives, ensuring compassion and smart strategy in our community efforts.

Distinguished as a USAF officer and entrepreneur, he is the driving force behind several ventures, including Al-Noor Farm. Renowned for his exceptional execution, commitment, compassion, intelligence, and problem-solving skills, he is deeply motivated to support veterans through his diverse initiatives.

2024 Farzana Begum Memorial Scholarship

With profound honor and a vision to perpetuate a legacy of empowerment and educational excellence, Naz716 Business Center, in partnership with Bridge Niagara Foundation, announces the 2024 Farzana Begum Memorial Scholarship. This initiative is a tribute to Farzana Begum, a remarkable woman whose life was a beacon of kindness, philanthropy, and unwavering support for education. Her legacy continues to inspire us to support the educational aspirations of young individuals from minority backgrounds, helping them to navigate their paths towards a brighter and more promising future.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Active participation in school or community cultural programs.
  • Enrollment in a higher education institution for the Fall 2024 semester.
  • Submission of a detailed essay as outlined below.
  • Two letters of recommendation attesting to the applicant's character and potential.

Essay Instructions:

Candidates are required to submit a 2-page essay discussing:

  • The reasons you believe you are a deserving recipient of the Farzana Begum Memorial Scholarship.
  • The impact of culture or the arts on your personal and academic development.
  • Your future aspirations, career goals, and how you plan to achieve them.
  • Your involvement in community service or volunteer work.

This essay is your opportunity to let your experiences, aspirations, and the essence of your character shine through.

Letters of Recommendation:

  • One letter should be from an individual outside of your academic institution, such as a community leader or mentor.
  • The second letter must be from an educator who can speak to your academic dedication and personal qualities.

Please ensure your application, including all required documents, is submitted by the deadline: May 5, 2024, midnight EST. The cover page of your application packet must include:
